Why nominated: A. J. is a catcher at Lincoln-Way North High School. So far this season A.J. his records have been outstanding. He has a batting average of .512, slugging percentage of .932, on base percentage is .651, and his average with runners in scoring position is .579. He is always a threat when he come to the plate.
Why nominated: BreAnna McGee has been a 4-year starter for the Thunderbolts. The senior pitcher currently has a 9-0 record with an earned run average of 2.40
Why nominated: Connor is a senior and three-year varsity starter on our boys volleyball team. This season Connor has been an all-tournament selection at the Marist Invite, Wheaton Warrenville South Classic and the Brother Rice Smack Attack.
Why nominated: Junior Warrier Cody Vogler plays both first base and pitcher for the boys baseball team. As a pitcher Cody is 4-2 with wins over Lincoln-Way Central and Andrew.
Why nominated: Through April 22nd, Lexi has a .450 batting average with 25 RBI's and 8 home runs. Lexi is a junior and has verbally committed to Kansas University.
Why nominated: Senior Maddie Joyce is a 4 year starter on Mt. Assisi's varsity softball team and has been named GCAC Red All-Conference every year. Maddie has had the winning RBI in many of of our games with her power bat. Her coach adds, "she is amazing defensively". Her phenomenal stretch at 1st base gets the runner. On top of her great play at 1st base, Maddie pitches also. Robert Morris College has signed Maddie to play softball.
Why nominated: Mike Kamp has been solid both offensively and defensively for the Knights. The sophomore has doubled in the game winning run against Montini on April 19, has 2 wins pitching relief, and threw 4 innings with only 2 unearned runs against Montini Catholic on April 20.
Why nominated: Will is a senior baseball player. He is currently hitting .442 on the season. Will has 23 hits, he has scored 22 runs and he has 24 RBI. Will is also the Chargers home run leader with five round trippers. His .846 slugging percentage leads the Charger team.
Why nominated: Becka Anderson was the Indians' top softball pitcher in April and had an 11-strikeout game against Bremen and seven more against Lincoln-Way East.
Why nominated: The varsity softball team will be nominating junior Cecie Portillo. Currently this is Cecie’s first year on the varsity and second year playing high school softball (due to transferring schools). Cecie has played in every game and currently has the top batting average at .340 and an on base percentage of .385. Cecie has had 47 at bats with only 1 strike out, 1 home run, 1 triple, and 4 doubles. In the field Cecie is solid with a fielding average of .924. Please vote for Cecie she is an outstanding athlete with a great attitude and sportsmanship!
Why nominated: Adam is a senior outfielder on the Nazareth Academy Baseball Team. Adam achieved a 31 on the ACT. His current game stats are: 17 for 35, .485 batting average, 4 Home Runs, and 22 Runs Batted In (R.B.I.'s). Adam's dedication and success makes him a perfect candidate for May's Athlete of the Month. Congratulations on a good season so far and keep up the good work!
Why nominated: Will Pahos is a senior baseball pitcher for the Red Devils. He had six strike outs and walked one. He threw a complete game and gave up no earned runs. His excellent pitching led to a win over the Hornets of Hinsdale South 10-2.
